Timor Leste Studies @ AAS Denver 21-24 March 2019

Congratulations to Timor Leste Studies scholars presenting on a number of panels at this year’s AAS:

Maria Maderia presented her work at the special panel on ‘Arts under Military Occupation’. Maria was also invited by the AAS to exhibit her work in Denver. Click here for more details.

Li-Li Chen from Universidade Timor Lorosa’e organised a panel to reflect on ‘Who/What is local?’. The panel included a presentation by Veronica Pereira from the University of Arkansas.

Kisho Tsuchiya organised a panel on Spaces of Belonging at the Edges of Greater Southeast Asia and presented his work on ‘Space and Belonging of FRETILIN Movement in Portuguese and Tetun, 1974-1976’.
